Dr. Doris has always been interested in plants, caring for people, and learning about the world around her. She can fondly remember summers with her great-aunt driving 2 hours away from her home of Milwaukee, WI to a local farm and picking beans and peas until late afternoon to snap peas and cook fresh veggies. She took that as well as seeing her family members suffer with medications and hospitalizations as a sign, she needed to work in the healthcare field. She graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 2010 with her doctorate in chiropractic with an emphasis on acupuncture and immediately began her coursework in Naturopathic Medicine in 2011 but fell short due to her mother suffering from cancer. She continued to work as a chiropractic physician but kept an eye on all her naturopathic notes and research articles. In 2020, she began her course work in the DABCI (Diplomate American Board of Chiropractic Internists) program to work in internal health. After over ten years of personal injury and workman’s compensation work, she left it behind to work on her true passion of helping with internal disorders as she has increased fertility in herself and kept away many of the diseases that has plagued her family such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Throughout her work, she has restored health, and strength to patients who only thought they were going into therapy due to an auto accident. Based on her knowledge of personal injury and workman's compensation cases, she has been added to IME registries and continues to work as a clinical reviewer for a well known company. She loves to research disorders and how to correct them with diet, movement, nutrition, and manipulation. Her saying is that sitting idle is death and movement is life. In her free time, she does yoga, dance, crocheting, learning languages other than the ones she speaks daily, running, and spending time with her family and friends.
